Young athletes in the Kenosha area will have the chance to train like a Firebird at free sports clinics led by Carthage College coaches and student-athletes.

Nicole Ryf, president of the Kenosha Area Business Alliance, will serve as chair of the Carthage coalition for 2025-26. Under the theme “Wisconsin Horizons,” this season’s programs will explore emerging industries, shifting workforce needs, and economic opportunities in the decade ahead.

Beginning this fall, Carthage College students can choose a major or minor in one of the faster-growing areas in scientific research. The biotech program offers pathways into genetic engineering, personalized medicine, cell and gene therapy, soil and water remediation, sustainable agriculture, and other rewarding careers.

The 1976 Carthage alumna enjoyed an impactful 33-year career in business and has remained a tireless advocate for women.

This organizational realignment brings thriving Carthage College academic programs like nursing and neuroscience together with planned offerings in the biomedical sciences and other emerging fields.
