Biography
Before starting at Carthage in March 2024, Melanie Landro had over 20 years of experience working in corporate and small business marketing and communication, graphic design and event planning, and volunteer management, including five years of experience in education and with nonprofits in the Kenosha community.

Main responsibilities at Carthage
Melanie leads campus-wide volunteer coordination efforts, working closely with colleagues to recruit, train, and mobilize alumni, parents, students, faculty, and staff as ambassadors for key initiatives like Giving Days, reunions, and peer-to-peer campaigns. She also manages volunteer-related web content and digital tools, the development and growth of the Carthage College Volunteer Program, and strengthens cross-campus collaboration to enhance the impact of volunteer involvement at Carthage.
